Mark Lawrenson: Football pundit comes to UCLan
UCLan honorary fellow and former Liverpool great Mark Lawrenson recounts his illustrious career
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is playing host to an evening with one of the most recognisable faces and voices of football.
BBC Match of the Day and Radio Five Live pundit Mark Lawrenson will take part in a question and answer session and this is your opportunity to ask him anything.
Mark, who was made an Honorary Fellow at UCLan in 2003, will be giving insights into his early years playing for his hometown club of Preston North End, being an integral part of the successful Liverpool team during the 1980s and his international career playing for the Republic of Ireland. He will also talk about his life now in the media as a well-known pundit.
It is taking place on Monday, June 8, at UCLan, and will be led by lecturer and Sky Sports journalist Peter Stevenson together with a panel headed by John Hughson, Professor of Sports and Cultural Studies and Head of the International Football Institute.
Tickets are just £5 and early bookings are recommended with all proceeds going to charity. A fully licensed bar will be available and directions to the venue and university car parks will be supplied with your tickets.
